The rosettes are positioned on top of the shoulder rather than around the armhole, which gives full range of motion underneath. One small note: raising both arms fully overhead does cause the deep V to open wider, so just be aware if you plan on doing anything with arms above your head.

The combination of sculptural rosette shoulders with a fully pleated floor-length skirt is a design choice I have literally never seen replicated. Every other dress at the engagement party was a slip dress or a bodycon or a basic A-line. This exists in its own category. If you want to be the only person wearing something truly original, this is it.

The openings are positioned at a width that works beautifully on a smaller frame but on mine they stretched wider than intended and the satin pulled across my stomach above the cutout line. I could see this being absolutely perfect on a size 4-10. At my size it just wasn't the right silhouette. Returned with regret because the pleating and shoulders are truly special.

My heels sank into the turf and the hem dragged through damp grass for the entire afternoon. The pleats along the bottom were stained and crushed by the end of the day. This is an absolutely gorgeous dress but it needs a hard, clean floor. If your event is outdoors on any soft surface, reconsider or budget for serious cleaning after. The dress itself is stunning — just not built for the elements.

I did have to tuck the hem under my ankles to keep it neat. It works, it just requires a moment of arrangement. Not every maxi would survive floor seating this gracefully.

   I appreciate the craftsmanship enormously — the pleating is precise, the satin has lovely weight, the invisible zipper is smooth, and the shoulder rosettes are genuinely impressive. However, when I consider the deep V, the side cutouts, and the fully open lace-up back together, the collective skin exposure was more than I anticipated for a formal family event. Each element in isolation is tasteful. Together they shifted the tone younger than I needed at 50. The dress is beautifully made and I'd recommend it without hesitation to someone in their twenties or thirties.

   So the deep V is real. I'm a 34C and knew immediately I couldn't go braless without some help. Invested in a good adhesive bra and it solved the problem completely — the neckline stayed dramatic but secure, nothing shifted during dinner or dancing. If you're worried about the plunge, a stick-on bra is the answer. Don't let the neckline scare you away from this dress because with the right solution underneath it's completely wearable. The rest of the dress is so stunning it's worth the extra step.

The lace-up back on this dress eliminates that problem entirely — I ordered the medium and tightened the criss-cross ties until the bodice sat flush against my ribcage. The fit felt custom. My one note is that the size chart doesn't reflect actual body measurements particularly well, so I'd recommend sizing up and relying on the ties to bring it in. The adjustability is genuinely functional, not decorative.

Each pleat hangs under its own gravity and swings back to center after movement. That weight is also what gives the crossover waist its structure — the wrap stays put because the fabric is heavy enough to hold tension. This is a dress that understands fabric physics.

Actually teared up.    Absolutely stunning dress but plan your outerwear situation carefully. The open lace-up back, the side cutouts, and especially the sculptural shoulder ruffles mean you can't just throw on any jacket or coat. I ended up carefully draping a silk wrap over my shoulders but it kept slipping off the ruffles. If your event involves any outdoor time in cold weather, think through this in advance. The dress itself is a ten out of ten.

The satin picks up the gold reflection too, so there's this overall warm glow happening. If you wear a lot of gold jewelry this is genuinely the ideal dress color. The ruffled shoulders still hold their sculptural shape. The invisible zipper still moves smoothly. For the price, the construction longevity is genuinely impressive. The vertical pleats sort of compress and release naturally as you breathe and move, which keeps everything looking neat. One note: when I leaned forward to check my phone the deep V did open a bit wider than when standing, so I'd keep that in mind if you'll be seated at a dinner table. Not dramatic, just something to be aware of.

   There's a subtle swishing sound when the accordion pleats brush against each other as you walk — this soft, rhythmic whisper of satin on satin. It's barely audible to anyone else but you feel it and hear it and it adds to this sense of occasion. One practical note: I wish the inner lining extended further down the skirt. It ends around mid-thigh, so below that you can feel the bare pleats against your legs. Not uncomfortable, just a design choice worth knowing about.

   Something I haven't seen anyone mention — the side cutouts are placed exactly at the narrowest part of the waist, which means from a side profile the dress creates this incredible silhouette that you just don't get from a standard unbroken maxi. There's a visible waist indent that makes the whole shape so much more dynamic. Front-on it's beautiful, but from the side is where the design really earns its keep.

   I wore this for our vow renewal and the wrap waistband gave it an almost bridal quality — that gathered, cinched structure that feels ceremonial without being white. The satin sheen added to the formality. My one small wish is that the crossover portion of the wrap were slightly wider to cover a bit more of the midsection transition between bodice and skirt. It's a minor proportion thing but I noticed it in photos. Still, it was perfect for the occasion.

Pulled it out and there wasn't a single crease in the pleats. That attention to packaging tells you something about how the brand treats this product. The dress itself lived up to the presentation. Felt like a gift to myself.

   The satin is smooth and pleasant against the skin but I should note that it doesn't breathe exceptionally well in warm conditions. The cutouts at the sides help with airflow, which is a nice design feature, but the areas where the fabric sits close to the body — the wrapped waist, the pleated bodice — did get warm during a midsummer evening event. Something to consider if your venue isn't air-conditioned. The dress is beautiful regardless.

   I have been to TEN weddings in the last year and a half and not a single person at any of them was wearing anything even remotely similar to this dress. The shoulder ruffles are so unique. Everyone kept touching them asking if they were real, like they couldn't believe the construction. In a sea of slip dresses and basic maxis this one genuinely stands alone.

   The pleats were pristine when I first put the dress on and held up beautifully for most of the evening. By the end of the night — roughly five hours — the very bottom section of the skirt where the pleats had been dragging slightly on the floor had softened and lost some of their crisp definition. It's a minor issue that most people wouldn't notice, but if you're particular about maintaining that sharp accordion look all night, consider a slightly shorter heel to lift the hem off the ground.

   I'm 5'6 and wore this with 3-inch gold platform heels. The hem just barely grazed the floor which created that perfect red-carpet sweep. Without heels it pools about two inches on the ground, so unless you're 5'9+ you'll want at least a low heel or be prepared to get it hemmed. The pleating makes hemming tricky though so I'd recommend just finding the right shoe height.

   That crossover wrap at the waist SNATCHED me. I'm not exaggerating when I say I looked in the mirror and almost cried. I have a short torso and a soft midsection and the way the satin wraps and cinches right at the narrowest point created this hourglass shape I did not know I had. The pleated skirt then flows out from there and hides everything below. It's genuinely the most flattering dress I've ever worn. I'm emotional about it.

This is a dry-clean-only piece, possibly hand wash at best. The shoulder ruffles alone would be destroyed in a machine. If you're comfortable with that maintenance commitment for a special occasion dress, it's a worthwhile investment. Just don't expect to toss it in the laundry.

Every time I moved the pleats would catch and release the sunlight differently. My sister-in-law who is a photographer said it was one of the most photogenic dresses she's ever shot. If your event is outdoors, this is the dress.

On screen it looked like a cool-toned wine, but in certain light it picks up these amber undertones that push it toward a warm terracotta-wine. Still a gorgeous shade and arguably more interesting, but if you're trying to match specific cool-toned accessories you may want to account for that. I ended up pairing it with gold and it worked beautifully.

They're substantial — layered satin petals that hold their shape without looking stiff or costumey. They add drama to the silhouette without overwhelming it. It's the kind of detail that makes the dress feel designed rather than assembled. Won't go back to basic sleeves.

   The deep V-neckline was my biggest concern but it actually stays put much better than I expected. The pleated panels on either side of the V create a slight stiffness that holds the neckline in position. I did use one small strip of tape right at the point of the V as insurance, but honestly it probably would have been fine without. The structure of the bodice does a lot of the work.

   Wore this to a black-tie fundraiser where I fully expected to be sitting most of the night. Instead I ended up on the dance floor for three hours straight. The pleated skirt has so much volume that it moves with you completely — no tugging, no stepping on the hem, no awkward restriction. It fans out when you spin and falls right back into place. Genuinely one of the most comfortable formal dresses I've danced in.

   I wanted to love this dress and the quality is clearly there — the satin, the pleating, the shoulder details are all beautifully done. But at a size 14 the side cutouts created some pulling and the fabric didn't sit flat against my midsection the way it does on the model. The waist area bunched slightly above the cutout. I think this design really favors a straighter or more narrow torso. If that's your build, you'll probably love it.

   Packed this in a suitcase for a destination wedding in Mexico and was bracing myself for wrinkle disaster. The pleats bounced back almost immediately after I hung it up — accordion pleating is more resilient than I expected. There was one faint crease near the hem that hung out within about an hour. I'd recommend rolling it loosely rather than folding, but overall it travels much better than I feared.

   Just a heads up for anyone wondering — you absolutely cannot wear any kind of bra with this dress. The side cutouts, the deep V, and the fully open lace-up back make it impossible. I'm a B cup and went without, which was fine, but if you're larger-chested and need support this is something to seriously consider before ordering. That said, the silhouette without a bra is stunning and the satin has enough structure in the bodice to offer a hint of shape.

For the price point, the construction is solid. My only reservation is that the fabric could benefit from slightly more substance — it's not paper-thin, but a heavier satin would elevate the dress further. Still, a good buy.

   Wore this to an August wedding in the Cotswolds. Outdoors, full sun, eight hours on my feet. The satin was genuinely comfortable against my skin the entire time — smooth, not sticky, didn't cling to my legs when it was hot. I was expecting to be miserable in a floor-length dress in summer but the fabric has this cool-to-the-touch quality that surprised me. Danced until midnight and still felt fresh. Brilliant.

However the lace-up ties in the back pulled everything in snugly and created a much more tailored look. The adjustability is a genuine design feature, not decorative. It's forgiving enough to accommodate between-size bodies, which I appreciate. The pleats hung perfectly once the back was cinched. Very happy with the purchase for the charity ball.

My issue is purely personal: the open lace-up back exposes quite a lot of skin. I'm 52 and while I appreciate the design, I felt too exposed for a rehearsal dinner with my daughter's future in-laws. A younger woman would absolutely turn heads in this. The dress itself is beautifully made and I can see why it's popular. Just know what you're getting with the back.

The bodice panels are pressed in narrow vertical lines that elongate the torso, and then right at the waistband they transition into the wider accordion folds of the skirt. It creates this visual rhythm that gives the dress architectural interest without relying on embellishment. The ruffled shoulders echo the fullness of the skirt pleats. Really considered design work.

   So I'll be honest, the V-neckline is deeper than I anticipated and I'm a 36D so I did need to use fashion tape to keep everything secure. That's my one note. But the crossover waist? Magic. It cinched me in right at the narrowest point and smoothed everything out in a way that was incredibly flattering on my postpartum body. Felt put-together and elegant without feeling like I was stuffed into something. Really happy with it overall.

Against my dark skin it was absolutely stunning — like the color was made for deeper complexions. The satin has this gorgeous warmth to it that shifts between coppery and plum depending on the light. I've never felt more beautiful at a wedding. Buy this dress.

There's a genuine heft to it that drapes rather than clings, and the sheen catches light without looking cheap or plasticky. The wine color reads as understated luxury.    I wore this as maid of honor at my best friend's wedding last Saturday and I am still not over it. The second I started walking down the aisle those pleats caught the light and moved like actual liquid around my legs. I could hear people whispering. During the reception no fewer than six women came up to me asking where I got it. The wine color, the way the skirt swishes, the little peekaboo cutouts at the waist — everything came together in a way that made me feel like the most confident version of myself. I have never gotten this many compliments on a single piece of clothing in my entire life. Already thinking about what event I can wear it to next.
