The front of this dress is beautiful — everyone sees the V-neckline, the wrap bodice, the flowing pleated skirt. And then you turn around and it's an entirely different experience. The wide-open back with the criss-cross lacing catches people off guard. I deliberately positioned myself with my back to the room for portions of the evening. My date told me the back was more stunning than the front. It's a dress that rewards every angle and surprises from behind.

This is a genuine investment piece that I assessed before purchasing. The dusty blue is season-neutral — appropriate for spring through early autumn events. The silhouette is current but relies on pleating and wrap construction rather than any passing trend, so it won't date within two to three years. I've identified four events in the next year where it will be appropriate. Projected cost per wear makes this an efficient addition to a curated wardrobe.

I was stopped SEVEN times by strangers at the festival asking to take my photo. Seven. I counted because by the third one I started keeping track. One woman physically grabbed my arm and said this was the most beautiful dress she'd ever seen in person. The pleats catching the golden hour wind, the color against the sunset, the ruffle sleeves — it creates a complete visual statement that apparently stops people mid-stride. I have never received this level of attention from clothing.

When the lace-up is tied, the cords create a small knot and two trailing ends at the small of the back. Against the clean vertical lines of the pleated skirt below, this knot is visible and creates a slight bump in the silhouette from behind. I tucked the trailing ends under the waistband which smoothed the line. If the ties were designed to thread through the waistband and conceal completely it would be cleaner. The criss-cross pattern above the knot is genuinely beautiful though and the visible lacing is a feature, not a flaw.

I've worn this blue against white stucco, green garden hedges, red brick, grey stone, candlelit tablecloths, and a sunset sky. It looks incredible against every single one. Most dress colors fight at least one common backdrop — too similar, too clashing. This muted dusty blue harmonizes with everything because it sits in this neutral zone between warm and cool. My photographer called it the most universally flattering background color she's worked with.

The satin finish is slippery by nature and I noticed the crossover wrap at the bodice migrating slowly over the evening — the V-point drifted about half an inch deeper than where I'd originally set it. Not dramatic, not a wardrobe malfunction, but I adjusted it twice during a four-hour event. A small interior snap or hook at the crossover point would eliminate this entirely. Otherwise a truly beautiful dress that I received endless compliments on.

Stood in front of a blue-toned Rothko at the museum benefit and realized my dress was nearly the identical shade. People were photographing me in front of it for the visual echo. The dusty blue has a depth and a quietness to it that reads as artistic and intentional rather than merely decorative. It belongs in beautiful spaces and elevates casual ones.

I walked past a full-length mirror at the venue and literally did a double-take at my own reflection. For one honest second I didn't recognize myself. The pleated skirt elongates your entire body, the cutouts carve out a waist even if you don't think you have one, and the ruffle sleeves add this almost regal quality to your shoulders. I looked like an upgraded version of myself. That feeling alone justifies the purchase.

This dress demands undergarment planning I didn't anticipate. The deep V rules out any standard bra. The open back rules out anything with a band. The side cutouts rule out high-waisted anything. I ended up purchasing a separate low-back adhesive bra and seamless thong specifically for this dress. Once I had the right pieces underneath it looked spectacular and felt secure. Just budget for that extra shopping trip — you will need specialty undergarments.

Under fluorescent bathroom lights I noticed the lining is somewhat sheer — you can see the outline of underwear when lit directly from behind. In the ambient, warm-toned lighting of every actual event space I've worn it in, nothing is visible. This is exclusively a harsh-direct-light issue. Wear seamless nude undergarments and you'll never think about it. But I want to mention it because I noticed it and someone else will too. The dress itself is objectively gorgeous.

The dressing sequence is more logical than I expected. You step in and zip the invisible side zipper first — that secures the bodice structure. Then you reach behind and criss-cross the laces, which fine-tunes the fit. Each step is achievable alone because the zipper holds everything in place while you deal with the ties. I got ready solo in my hotel room in about eight minutes including the back lacing. No help needed.

The sleeves are ART. Not just ruffles — they're sculpted into these dimensional petal shapes that bloom from the shoulder seam. Each one has three or four distinct layers that create real volume and shadow. In photographs they are consistently the detail that people comment on first. They frame the open back like two sculptural bookends and balance the depth of the V-neckline. Whoever designed the sleeve pattern understood proportion.

Bought this for my daughter's graduation dinner. I'm 45 and wasn't sure the silhouette was right for my age. I was wrong — the muted blue and the pleating read as timeless rather than youthful. But the real proof came when my 22-year-old daughter asked to borrow it for a friend's wedding the following weekend. She looked just as appropriate as I did. A dress that works across decades is rare. This is one of them.

The side cutouts expose more of the waist than the product photos suggest. On the model they read as subtle peek-of-skin details. On my shorter torso they're approximately four inches of bare skin on each side — from just below the bra line to the top of the hip. I ultimately loved the look and got many compliments. But if you have a shorter torso or expected a small keyhole-style cutout, adjust your expectations. They're generous.

Walking down the marble staircase at the embassy with the pleated train cascading behind me on the stone steps — I have never felt more like a protagonist. The muted blue of the dress against the cream marble was this perfect tonal harmony that looked intentional. The ambassador's wife stopped me at the bottom of the stairs and held both my hands and told me I looked magnificent. That memory alone was worth every penny.

Turned it inside out before trying it on, which is my standard practice. Seams are overlocked with no raw edges visible. The invisible zipper is inserted with reinforced bar tacks at both stops. The waistband junction where the bodice meets the pleated skirt is double-layered, providing structural integrity at the stress point. Lining is single-layer and lightweight — functional but not substantial. Interior finishing is appropriate for this price tier. Competent construction, nothing that signals corner-cutting.

I need to talk about this dusty blue against dark skin. I was nervous a muted color would disappear on me or look washed out. The opposite happened. The cool blue creates this striking contrast that makes melanin-rich skin look radiant. Under warm lighting my skin had this golden glow against the blue and every photo from the wedding is stunning. If you have a deep complexion — this color was made for you. Multiple guests told me the same thing unprompted.

This is my second purchase. Bought a different color last spring for a gala and liked it enough to order the soft serenity for a fall wedding. The construction is identical — same precision in the pleating, same clean invisible zipper, same adjustable lace-up. The blue leans more formal than my first and I'll get tremendous use from it. If you're debating, stop debating. Just order it.

My best friend CRIED when I walked out of the bedroom in this dress. Full tears. She said I looked like a painting. Then I sent my mom a photo and she called me sobbing. I don't know what this dress does to people but it provokes actual emotional responses. The blue, the movement of the pleats, the way the ruffles frame the shoulders — something about the complete picture just hits differently.

Fair warning for outdoor events in windy conditions — the pleated skirt has enormous surface area and strong gusts sent it flying in every direction. I wore this to an open-air racing event and spent part of the afternoon wrangling the fabric in unexpected directions. In a controlled coastal breeze it's gorgeous and cinematic. In genuine wind it's unmanageable. Choose your venue accordingly. The dress itself is stunning and I'd buy it again for the right setting.

When you stand completely still the weight of the satin pulls every pleat into a perfectly vertical line from waist to floor. No bunching, no random flaring, no pleats folding into each other. Just clean, gravity-driven columns of fabric. It looks architectural. Then the instant you take a step the pleats separate and sway and the dress comes alive. That contrast between stillness and motion is one of the most visually striking things about it.

There's something incredibly satisfying about pulling those back laces and watching the bodice cinch around your waist in real time. It's not decorative — it's genuinely functional. I pulled the strings firmly and the waistline defined itself instantly. Then after dinner when I was full and wanted room, I reached back and loosened them half an inch. Adjustable formalwear. Why isn't every dress designed this way.

I AM TELLING YOU the spin factor on this dress is UNREAL. I was on the dance floor just spinning in circles and the pleated skirt fans out into this massive perfect circle around your body. My friends were recording slow-motion videos. The fabric is so lightweight that it lifts with barely any effort. This is the most fun piece of clothing I have ever owned and I will be looking for every excuse to wear it again.

The dress is impeccably constructed and the dusty blue is one of the most sophisticated colors I've encountered in event wear. The neckline, however, plunges to approximately mid-sternum — approximately 20 centimeters of exposed chest from collarbone to the V-point. For a corporate awards context this was too deep for my comfort. I positioned a fine pendant necklace to create a horizontal visual across the chest which helped establish a perceived boundary. A modesty-panel variant for professional settings would expand this dress's reach considerably.

On the dance floor with strobe lights hitting the satin pleats this dress was putting on its OWN performance. Each fold caught light at a different angle. The blue went electric under purple LEDs and turned silver under white strobes. I was a walking light show and my friends couldn't stop filming me. If you are wearing this to any event with dynamic lighting, prepare for the dress to steal the show from you.

Folded this into a packing cube between sheets of tissue paper for a flight to Sardinia. Left it packed for two days. Pulled it out expecting disaster — every single pleat was perfectly intact. No creasing, no flattened sections, nothing. The accordion pleating actually makes the dress wrinkle-proof because the fabric is already folded by design. Clever. Docking one star only because the lace-up cords tangled badly in the suitcase and took real patience to unknot.

Wore this through freshly mowed grass at a midsummer party and the pleated hem didn't snag on a single blade. I expected the accordion folds to catch on everything — grass, gravel, the edge of the marquee floor. But the satin surface is so smooth that the fabric just slides over obstacles. The very bottom edge did pick up minor grass stains but a damp cloth took care of them on the spot. Outdoor-event-proof.

The ruffle sleeves are cap-length, covering only the very top of the shoulder. My upper arms are fully exposed and at 50 they're softer than they used to be. I considered adding a wrap but decided against it. The sculptural volume of the ruffles draws the eye upward to the shoulder, and the dramatic pleated skirt commands attention downward. The eye genuinely skips past the upper arms. Still — if full arm coverage is non-negotiable for your comfort, this dress won't provide it.

Paired this with gold drop earrings and a wide cuff bracelet for my graduation dinner and the combination is unreal. The dusty blue has this subtle silvery undertone in the satin that makes gold jewelry pop even more than it normally would. The deep V is the perfect frame for a delicate gold necklace and the ruffle sleeves add enough visual interest at the shoulders that you don't need to over-accessorize. Two gold pieces and you look completely styled.

At my birthday party at least six guests physically reached out and touched the pleated fabric. Apparently the satin finish makes people want to feel it — they kept saying it looked liquid. The texture is satisfying — each ridge of the pleating creates a tactile pattern under the fingertips. By the end of the night touching my dress had become a group activity. I didn't mind because it genuinely feels that good.

I climbed from a dock onto a yacht in this dress. Full-length pleated maxi gown, stepping over a gap onto a moving boat. And the skirt gave me full range of motion because the accordion pleats separate with each step. I danced on the deck, sat cross-legged on cushions, went up and down a narrow staircase. It looks like it would be restrictive but the pleating functions like built-in slits in every direction. Shockingly mobile.

Quick note for dry-climate wearers — the pleated skirt develops static cling in low humidity. I noticed the individual pleats sticking together and clinging to my bare legs during the outdoor ceremony. A quick spray of static guard before getting dressed eliminated it entirely and it didn't return once I was moving around. Minor issue, easy fix, but worth knowing if you're in Arizona or similar.

Dubai event venues are set to arctic-level AC and I went into the gala with my entire back exposed, expecting to freeze. Surprisingly the wrap bodice keeps your chest and stomach insulated, and from the waist down the pleated fabric has enough layered volume to retain warmth in your legs. The open back actually felt refreshing after transitioning from 40-degree heat outside. It's a well-balanced design for hot climates with cold interiors.

I'm 5'11 and tried this in bare feet first — the hem grazes the floor with maybe a centimeter of clearance. Any heel at all brings it to perfect length. This is unambiguously designed for taller frames. The bodice is also proportionally long so the waistline sits at my actual waist instead of riding up to my ribs. The shoulder seams land on my shoulders rather than halfway down my arms. I'm keeping this forever.

The lace-up ties at the back are lovely and the criss-cross pattern is a beautiful detail. My concern is the cords themselves are quite thin — probably 3-4mm diameter. When I tied them firmly I could feel the tension and worried about them snapping or cutting into the fabric. They held all evening without issue but slightly thicker cords or satin ribbon would feel sturdier and be easier on the hands when tying. Every other aspect of the dress is considered and refined.

I opened the box by the window and held the fabric up to natural light and the COLOR. It's not baby blue. It's not grey-blue. It's this shifting dusty blue-violet that transforms depending on the light source. In the box it read cool grey. By the window it was almost periwinkle. Under my warm bedroom lamp it turned blue-steel. I tried it on in three different rooms just to watch it change. This color has genuine depth.

I keep a very minimal wardrobe — mostly black, white, clean lines. The ruffle sleeves on this dress are doing a lot. They're sculptural, almost rosette-shaped, and they dominate the upper body. The pleated skirt and side cutouts are clean and modern enough for my aesthetic, but the sleeves push the overall look firmly into romantic territory. If romantic-feminine is your style this dress is exceptional — the construction is solid and the color is beautiful. It's a taste question, not a quality one.

Caught my full side profile in the hotel mirror before heading out and had to pause. The crossover wrap cinches at the narrowest part of the waist and then the pleated skirt cascades out in a clean column. From the side the cutout at the waist is just a thin stripe of skin that makes the whole silhouette look sculptural — not revealing, architectural. I turned and stared at my own profile for an honest five minutes. I have never had that reaction to my own reflection in formalwear.

I attended an opera gala where I was seated among women in gowns that clearly cost several thousand. This dress held its own. The satin finish reads expensive across a room — it has that fluid movement and light-catching quality that photographs identically to silk. Up close, at intimate conversation distance, the fabric reveals a slight synthetic sheen that natural fibers wouldn't have. It's not unpleasant but it is detectable. At event distance, however, nobody would know. The design and the pleating do tremendous heavy lifting.

Got caught in a full downpour at a garden party. Not a drizzle — proper rain. Kept dancing because what else are you going to do. Dried off under a marquee an hour later and checked the damage. Beautiful dress and I genuinely adore the design — the pleating, the color, the silhouette, all of it is stunning. But at a 36D the deep V created a real logistics challenge. A standard adhesive bra was visible at the inner edge of the neckline. I ended up using KT tape in a lift-and-secure method which worked perfectly but took a solid twenty minutes and some YouTube tutorials. Budget time for your undergarment situation. Once that's handled the dress is a showstopper.

The satin caught the rooftop sunset and each pleat became its own gradient of blue and gold. I wore this to a rehearsal dinner on a terrace overlooking the city and in the golden hour the entire skirt looked like it was lit from inside. Every photo from that evening has this painterly quality — the pleats refracting light at slightly different angles depending on how I was standing. I've worn a lot of formal dresses. Nothing has ever interacted with light like this.

Stepped out onto the restaurant terrace for dinner and the evening air hit the satin fabric against my bare back and arms — this cool, fluid sensation that made me intensely aware of how the dress felt on my body. I've ordered and returned probably five similar pleated maxi dresses from other brands over the past year. This is the one I kept. The difference is in the details: the pleats are precise and uniform from waist to hem with no irregular spacing, the bodice has actual structure rather than just being a limp piece of fabric forming a V, and the lace-up back solves the fit problem that every other open-back dress creates. This is the version that gets everything right.

However the dress inside was perfectly protected — no damage to the fabric, pleats completely intact, no creasing. I'd prefer a sturdier outer shipping box for long-distance delivery. There's something about the weight of the pleated fabric that gives every step real presence. I'm 50 and took a chance on this for a resort dinner in Cabo. Worried the ruffles and deep V would look age-inappropriate. But the muted blue is inherently sophisticated, the pleating is classic rather than trendy, and the overall effect reads as elegant glamour rather than youthful party dress. My husband said I looked incredible. I used a small strip of fashion tape on the neckline for extra security which gave me confidence. Deducting one star solely for the neckline requiring that extra step.

This dusty blue against gold accessories is a combination I didn't know I needed. I wore gold drop earrings, a wide cuff bracelet, and gold strappy heels and the whole look came together effortlessly. Pretty dress, well made, and the design is flattering. But here's something I didn't think about — the side cutouts and open back mean very visible tan lines if you've been in the sun recently. I had a clear swimsuit-line situation visible through the cutouts at the wedding which was a bit awkward. That's entirely on me for not planning ahead. If you're wearing this to a summer event, be mindful of your tan lines or use self-tanner to even things out. The dress itself is faultless.

The pleats create these perfect vertical lines that look incredible in portraits and the satin finish picks up golden hour light in this glowing way. She said the blue also contrasts beautifully against green backgrounds. If you're buying specifically for photos — engagement, anniversary, whatever — this dress was made for a camera.

One small thing to note — the invisible zipper is a little stiff near the top, right where it meets the bodice. I was nervous about snagging the pleated fabric when pulling it up. Going slowly and holding the fabric taut while zipping solved it, but it would be nice if the zipper mechanism were smoother. Once the dress is on and the lace-up back is tied, you won't touch the zipper again. The dress itself is beautiful, the cutouts are tasteful, and the back is a gorgeous detail.

Everyone at prom was in those same tight sparkly dresses and I showed up in this flowing pleated gown and felt like I was at a completely different kind of event. The dusty blue was unique — nobody else had anything close to this color. I got asked for the link probably ten times. Best prom dress decision I could have made.

Wore this on a dinner cruise with significant wind off the water. The crossover bodice stayed completely secure the entire evening — the wrap construction holds the V-neckline in place through physics alone, no tape needed. The pleated skirt billowed out dramatically behind me which looked stunning, but the neckline never once shifted or gaped. It's well engineered.

Gorgeous dress, and I truly wish it came in a deeper shade — a navy or emerald would be incredible. The soft blue is pretty but it does wash me out slightly with my olive complexion. I compensated with warm bronzer and gold accessories and it looked great in photos. The design itself is a solid 10 — the pleating, the open back, the ruffle sleeves, all of it. Just know that if you have warmer or deeper skin, you might want to think about how this particular blue works with your undertone.

Well-constructed dress. Pleats are even and consistent from waist to hem, all seams are clean, invisible zipper operates smoothly. The fabric is synthetic but has a convincing satin finish that reads as more expensive than it is. For this price point it delivers good value — you'd pay significantly more from a department store brand for comparable construction. My only note is the lining is on the thinner side, which is fine for evening but could be slightly sheer in direct bright sunlight.

Sat through a three-hour charity dinner and auction in this dress and remained genuinely comfortable the entire time. The pleats fan out beautifully when you sit and don't bunch or crease under the table. The bodice stays in place when you lean forward. I didn't adjust it once the whole night. For a formal dress with this much visual drama it's remarkably comfortable and low-maintenance once you have it on.

The ruffle sleeves are MUCH bigger in person than they look in the product photos. They're full sculptural ruffles that sit up from the shoulder — not subtle at all. Personally I love the drama and they balance out the deep neckline really well. But if you were expecting delicate little flutter sleeves based on the photos you might be surprised. Try it before you decide.

Wearing this as my wedding dress for our small second-marriage ceremony on the beach. The dusty blue feels romantic without the formality of white, and the lace-up back and ruffle sleeves give it enough bridal energy that it still feels like a moment. My fiance teared up when he saw me in it. At a fraction of the cost of a traditional gown this was the best decision I made for the wedding.

Was nervous about the lace-up back because I live alone and figured I'd need someone to tie it. But the strings are long enough that I could reach behind and do it myself in the mirror. Took about three tries to get the tension even but it's completely doable solo. The criss-cross pattern doesn't have to be perfect to look good — it has an intentionally organic look.

Wore this to an outdoor reception that turned slightly drizzly and the fabric held up surprisingly well. No visible water spots, no warping of the pleats, no running dye. The synthetic material was actually an advantage here. Just be mindful on wet grass — the hem does drag and mine picked up some green staining at the very bottom. I'm going to try spot-cleaning it. The rest of the dress is pristine.

Finally a maxi that's actually maxi length on me. I'm 5'10 and this hits right at the floor with a low heel. The proportions are designed for someone with height — the bodice is long enough that the waistline sits at my actual waist, not riding up under my bust. The sleeves also sit correctly on my shoulders. Pleased with the fit.

Under the ballroom lights this blue is ethereal. It shifts between a soft blue and a silvery tone depending on the angle and lighting. At least four people at the NYE gala specifically complimented the color — not just the dress, the color. It's not a generic blue. The satin finish catches light in this subtle way that makes it almost luminous. Absolutely worth it.

This is objectively a beautiful, well-made dress. The pleating is gorgeous and the color is elegant and timeless. But for my purposes — a traditional church wedding in the South — it showed too much skin. The side cutouts, the plunging V, and the fully open back combined to be more than I was comfortable with in that context. I ended up wearing something else to the wedding. If your event is a beach ceremony, an evening gala, or any setting where open backs are appropriate, this dress would be stunning. It just wasn't right for mine.

Okay so real talk — the open back means no regular bra. None. I used adhesive silicone cups and they worked well with the deep V. If you're a B cup or smaller you might be comfortable without anything since the wrap bodice has decent support. But definitely plan your undergarment situation before the event because you cannot figure this out last minute. Once I solved that, the dress was perfection.

Packed this in my checked suitcase for a week-long trip and pulled it out wrinkle-free. The pleats are heat-set so they hold their shape perfectly even folded. I didn't need to steam or iron anything — just hung it up for twenty minutes to let gravity pull the hem straight and it was ready to wear. For anyone buying this for a destination event, this is the most important detail I can share.

The way the pleats trail behind you when you walk down stairs is honestly cinematic. I descended the main staircase at my graduation ball venue and could feel the fabric sweeping behind me. Dress matches the listing photos about 90 percent. The blue is slightly more muted in person, leaning a touch more grey, which I actually prefer — it reads as more sophisticated. The pleats are identical to what's shown. Only notable difference is the ruffle sleeves sit a bit smaller on my broader shoulders than they do on the model in the photos. They're still visible and pretty, just not quite as voluminous proportionally. Still a beautiful purchase overall.

The wrap detail at the bodice combined with the cutouts creates a really defined waistline. I'm fairly straight up and down — not much natural curve — and this dress gave me an hourglass silhouette I genuinely don't get from other dresses. The pleated skirt adds volume from the hips down which amplifies the effect. It's clever engineering disguised as a pretty design.

I'm 48 and was nervous the open back would look like I was trying too hard. My daughter talked me into keeping it and I'm grateful she did. The lace-up creates this beautiful criss-cross pattern that reads more as an elegant design detail than skin-baring exposure. I tightened the strings a bit higher than shown in the photos to reduce how much back was visible and it looked lovely. The dusty blue is sophisticated — nothing juvenile about it. Several women my age at the wedding asked where I found it.

The dress is pretty and the design is lovely, but the fabric doesn't feel as luxurious as I expected at this price point. It's a synthetic satin — smooth to the touch but without the fluid weight of natural silk. You can feel the difference if you've worn real silk before. That said, the pleating is very well executed and it genuinely looks expensive in photos and across a room. If fabric feel matters less to you than visual impact, you'll be very happy with it. The construction quality is solid.

This dress photographs like NOTHING else I own. The accordion pleats catch light in every direction so in photos it almost has this glow to it. The bride picked this color for her bridal party and honestly our group shots are magazine-worthy. The movement of the skirt in candid photos is especially stunning — it never looks stiff or awkward. If you're buying a dress specifically to look good in pictures, this is it.

I'm a 38DD and was genuinely worried about the deep V on my chest. The crossover wrap bodice actually provides real support — the fabric crosses over with enough tension to hold everything in place without a bra. The ruffle sleeves add visual weight at the shoulders which balances a larger bust. And the lace-up back let me pull the fit snug right under my shoulder blades. I wore a size 14 and it fit perfectly through the hips with the pleated skirt skimming rather than clinging.

Wore this to an outdoor wedding in Mykonos in 32-degree heat and it was surprisingly breathable. I was dreading being in a full-length dress all day but the fabric is light enough that the pleats don't trap heat the way I expected. The open back kept air circulating and the cap sleeves don't cover enough to make your arms hot. Danced for hours, sat in the sun for the ceremony, and never felt overheated. The satin finish didn't show sweat marks either which was a genuine concern.

Color is accurate to the product photos — a muted steel blue with a slight lavender undertone depending on the light. Pairs equally well with gold and silver accessories, which I tested before the event. Fabric has a satisfying weight to it without being heavy. The side cutouts are a bit much for a corporate charity dinner context but I wore a light cashmere wrap during the seated portion and removed it for the cocktail hour. Functional solution.

The cutouts at the waist are everything. They give it this modern edge that takes it from just another pretty dress to a genuine showstopper. When I caught myself in the mirror from the side the combination of the deep V, the waist cutout, and the ruffle sleeves was this perfect balance of sexy and elegant. The sleeves add enough volume up top that the exposed skin doesn't read as too much. Really thoughtful design.

I'm 5'2 and this dress is LONG. Like genuinely pooling-on-the-floor long even in heels. I had it hemmed about four inches and thankfully my tailor was able to keep the pleats intact, which I was worried about. Once altered the proportions were perfect and I got tons of compliments. Just know that if you're petite you'll need a trip to the tailor. Budget an extra $30-40 for that.

Beautiful dress, truly stunning. The pleating is immaculate and that dusty blue is just perfection in person — sophisticated and romantic at the same time. My only issue is the V-neckline is noticeably deeper than it appeared in the photos. I'm a 36C and had to use fashion tape to feel secure. Would have loved the V to come up just an inch higher. But the overall silhouette, the back detail, the way the skirt moves — it's a show-stopping piece. I wore a delicate necklace to draw the eye up and it worked beautifully.

The lace-up back is genius if you're between sizes. I'm a UK 12 on top and 14 on my hips and I was dreading the fit situation. But the corset-style ties let me tighten the bodice exactly where I needed it while the pleated skirt has enough flow to skim over my lower half. I could breathe, I could eat dinner, and my waist looked incredible. If you carry your weight unevenly this dress solves the problem other formal dresses create.

The pleats caught the sea breeze and just billowed out like something from a magazine. I wore this to a destination wedding in the Caribbean and every single photo looks editorial. The way the fabric fans out when you move — you can't fake that kind of drama. Have to admit, I was worried the ruffle shoulders might look too bulky, but they frame the V-neck perfectly and add a fun volume. The crossover waistband hits right at my natural waist and makes the pleats fall in a super flattering way. I love how the lace-up back lets me adjust the fit easily and the invisible zipper stays hidden. Even on a hot day it didn’t feel too heavy, the fabric breathes so well. My only tiny gripe is the bust cups could be a bit more padded for extra lift, but that’s just me being picky.
