I was worried the mermaid cut might be too restrictive for an all-day event, but the fabric has a surprising amount of give. I was able to dance, get spun around, and even squat down to take pics with the dogs without fearing a seam rip. The ruching on the lower back makes your glutes look amazing, and the long ruffle "wings" on the straps add so much drama to the photos. Felt secure all night without a bra, too.

If you have a longer torso, it hits perfectly above the waist. If you have a short torso like me, it dips quite low. I had to use fashion tape to secure the sides just to be safe. The terracotta color is deeper than the studio lights suggest, more of a true burnt rust which looks expensive rather than costume-y. Wore it to a vineyard wedding and the fabric flow is insane when there's a breeze.
