Sat through a three-course dinner in this and it stayed comfortable the entire time. The ruffles settled nicely on my lap and the waistband didn't dig in at all. The bodice gathers have enough ease that sitting and eating was totally fine. Finally an event dress that doesn't punish you for enjoying the meal.

Getting into this dress solo was manageable - the invisible zipper in the back runs smoothly and then you tie the halter at the neck. The open back is quite low so be prepared for that. The silicone grip keeps everything secure up top. Only needed help tying the halter neatly into a bow, everything else I managed alone.

Almost didn't order this because I thought the ruffles would overwhelm my petite frame. But the wrapped waistband creates such a defined waist that it balances the skirt volume perfectly. I'm 5'2 in an S and wore it with heels. Felt incredible.

I like the sage and the long shape, but I usually wear very simple dresses and there is a lot going on with these ruffles. It's pretty, just more romantic than I feel comfortable in. My sister loved the skirt immediately.
