Wore this for a sunset dinner at a resort and the coral tones in the satin literally matched the sky behind me. The warm light made the whole dress glow. One thing to note — the satin surface does show marks easily. A tiny splash of water from my glass left a visible spot that took a good while to air dry and disappear. Just be mindful with drinks.

Not an issue for cocktail parties or dinners but noticeable when I tried to raise my arms on the dance floor. For seated or standing events this dress is a dream. Just be aware if you plan on doing a lot of energetic dancing with your arms up.

I rolled this carefully in my suitcase for a destination wedding and the pleats came out looking nearly perfect. No steaming needed, no ironing. A couple of the bottom folds had minor compression marks but they relaxed within an hour of hanging in the hotel closet. For a fully pleated dress that's impressive travel performance. Only minor imperfection keeps it from a five.

Wore this to an August wedding in Texas and was surprised at how comfortable it was in the heat. The satin can feel warm in direct sun but the open back and side cut-outs let air circulate in a way that a fully closed dress wouldn't. Smart design even if unintentional. I was cooler than friends in their tighter dresses.

I'm 5'2, 110 lbs, ordered an XS. The bodice and waist fit well in my usual size. However I needed to take about four inches off the hem, which is pretty standard for me with maxis. The good news is the pleats are uniform enough that a tailor can hem without disrupting the pattern. Just budget for alterations if you're petite.

I've been burned by pretty dresses that fall apart and this one holds up to scrutiny. Deducting one star only because a loose thread on the interior lining needed trimming.

I was genuinely worried about packing this for a destination bachelorette. The accordion pleats actually bounced back surprisingly well after being folded in my suitcase for two days. There was minor creasing at the very bottom of the hem but nothing visible from a normal distance. Not perfect but better than expected.
