I wasn't sure how the extended trailing hem would work for an outdoor garden wedding, but it ended up being my absolute favorite detail! It gave the skirt so much beautiful, dramatic sweep as I walked around the grassy grounds all afternoon, and the satin pooled perfectly for photos without ever getting tangled in my strappy sandals.

It creates the most amazing hourglass shape and holds you in so securely in the middle, which gave me the confidence to just stand out in the bright sun and work that high right-thigh slit all afternoon.

Wore this for a garden formal and I am absolutely obsessed with the side profile. Usually, long satin dresses bag out awkwardly around my lower back when I turn around, but the way the ruched waistline wraps around the side seam makes the fabric hug every curve perfectly without any weird bunching!
