You absolutely cannot wear a normal bra with this. The deep V in front and the open lace-up back rule out anything with straps or a band. I used silicone adhesive cups and they worked perfectly — stayed put through an entire reception. Just plan for that and you'll be fine. Dress itself is gorgeous.

I'm a size 12 with hips and was skeptical about how the cutouts and crossover waist would sit on a curvy frame. The waistband actually cinches right at the narrowest point and the pleated skirt skims over everything below. Genuinely flattering. I would say size up if you're fuller in the bust because the V pulls a bit.

My one note is it did pick up a few light wrinkles during transit in the box, but a quick steam sorted that out. Fabric quality exceeded my expectations for this price range.

I was nervous about the deep V — I'm a 36D and was sure I'd be exposed. But the pleated bodice panels are wider than they look in photos and provide actual coverage. I did use fashion tape at the center point just for my own peace of mind, but honestly it stayed put on its own. The crossover waist is incredibly flattering. Took one star off only because I wish the V had a tiny hook option.

I opened the box and literally gasped. The satin sheen on this dress makes it look three times the price. The rigid branded box it ships in already felt like a gift to myself. When I put it on for my friend's wedding I couldn't stop touching the fabric — smooth, heavy enough to drape properly, and the burgundy is so deep and rich it almost glows. This dress does not look like what I paid for it, and I mean that in the best possible way.
