Stood for a three-hour concert in this dress and the satin remained smooth and unwrinkled the entire time — no bunching at the waist, no riding up at the hem, no twisting. The accordion pleats seem to have a natural memory that keeps everything hanging straight. My only challenge was that keeping the hem off the floor required heels the entire time, which after three hours standing was tough on my feet. The dress performed perfectly — my shoes were the weak link.

Then I turned to walk to the car and he went completely silent. I looked over my shoulder and he was just standing there staring at the criss-cross ties over my bare back with his mouth slightly open. This dress understands the power of a reveal. The floor-length pleated skirt provides so much elegant coverage that it balances the more daring elements. I felt put-together, not exposed. The wine color helped too — it's inherently sophisticated. Received more compliments at my stepdaughter's wedding than I have at any event in recent memory. Would I choose it again? Absolutely.
