Those bows at the shoulders. THOSE BOWS. They're the detail that takes this from a pretty dress to something truly special. They're made from this soft organza-like fabric and they flutter when you walk — caught a glimpse of myself in a shop window on the way to the races and actually stopped in my tracks. The whole dress is stunning but the shoulder ties are what made me fall in love.

Ordered my usual size and the stretch fabric hugs every curve without that uncomfortable compression feeling. I'm 5'4" with hips and a full chest and the column silhouette actually elongated me — I looked way taller than I am in every photo from the wedding. The 3D flowers add dimension without adding bulk which I was nervous about. Wore it to an outdoor summer ceremony and got compliments literally all day long. Worth every penny.

Bought this for my rehearsal dinner and it photographs even better than it looks in the mirror. The butter yellow is so soft and romantic against the flowers. I cannot wait to wear this in two weeks. I have been to probably fifteen formal events in the past two years and I am telling you no other dress in any room has come close to this. The combination of sculptural rosette shoulders with a fully pleated floor-length skirt is a design choice I have literally never seen replicated. Every other dress at the engagement party was a slip dress or a bodycon or a basic A-line. This exists in its own category. If you want to be the only person wearing something truly original, this is it.

My entire friend group was getting ready at my flat and when I walked out of the bathroom in this dress someone literally pretended to faint on the sofa. Full dramatic collapse. Then everyone started screaming. The shoulder ruffles and the pleated skirt together create a level of drama that you just cannot prepare people for. The wine satin caught the bathroom light and they all went silent before the screaming started. That five seconds of silence is the highest compliment I've ever received.

When I first put this on I noticed something I can only describe as the smell of new satin — faintly cool, faintly clean, like unwrapping something precious. Then the fabric hit my skin and it was this smooth glide that felt nothing like getting dressed and everything like a ritual. That crossover creates this insane hourglass illusion that made my 32-inch waist look like 26 inches. The diagonal line of the wrap and the way the satin catches shadow at the fold sculpts a shape that I genuinely do not have in real life. The satin pleats made this gorgeous swishing sound against my ankles every time I moved — like the dress was keeping its own beat. I danced soca, dancehall, everything, and the skirt just flowed with every single movement. Not once did I step on the hem or feel restricted. I looked over my shoulder and he was just standing there staring at the criss-cross ties over my bare back with his mouth slightly open. This dress understands the power of a reveal. The photographer asked me to turn ninety degrees between each frame because the pleats fall differently from every angle — front-on they're a clean vertical cascade, from the side they fan into these sweeping curves, from behind you get the lace-up drama.
