The side cutouts sit a bit wider than I expected on my size-12 hips, which surprised me at first. But once the pleated skirt falls into place below them, the proportions actually balance out beautifully. The silhouette tapers at the waist and then the accordion pleats do all the work. Giving four stars only because I wish the cutout shape was slightly narrower for curvier frames.

Arrived with a few shipping creases along the pleats. Five minutes with a handheld steamer on low and they disappeared completely. The satin didn't watermark or stain from the steam. Not a big deal at all but don't plan to wear it straight from the box.

You absolutely cannot wear a normal bra with this. The deep V in front and the open lace-up back rule out anything with straps or a band. I used silicone adhesive cups and they worked perfectly — stayed put through an entire reception. Just plan for that and you'll be fine. Dress itself is gorgeous.
