My fiance is not a crier. This man has watched every sad movie known to humanity completely dry-eyed. But when I walked out of our bedroom in this dress for our engagement party he teared up. Actually teared up. The wine satin hugged my waist through the crossover wrap and then those pleats just cascaded down and the shoulder ruffles framed my face and I looked at myself through his eyes and understood exactly why. I'm wearing white at the wedding but this wine dress is the one I'll remember forever.

I was just a guest at my college friend's wedding but honestly this dress made me stand out more than half the bridal party. Not in a stealing-the-show way just in a people-kept-coming-up-to-me way. The combination of the shoulder ruffles and the pleated skirt together creates this level of visual interest that you just don't see in standard wedding guest dresses. My friend the bride actually told me she was glad someone dressed up properly. Best compliment ever.

Pulled it out and there wasn't a single crease in the pleats. That attention to packaging tells you something about how the brand treats this product. The dress itself lived up to the presentation. I have a short torso and a soft midsection and the way the satin wraps and cinches right at the narrowest point created this hourglass shape I did not know I had. The pleated skirt then flows out from there and hides everything below. It's genuinely the most flattering dress I've ever worn. I'm emotional about it.

Every time I moved the pleats would catch and release the sunlight differently. My sister-in-law who is a photographer said it was one of the most photogenic dresses she's ever shot. If your event is outdoors, this is the dress.
