The criss-cross pattern is intuitive once you see it — the ties are long enough to pull around to the front while you thread them, then you reach behind to snug the bow. Took me maybe four minutes the first time. The adjustability is the entire reason the fit is so perfect. Having control over exactly how tight the bodice sits changed everything.

I have never in my life had that experience and I am still buzzing about it three days later. Those rosette ruffles are not just a detail, they are an EVENT.
