The colour. Oh my god, the colour. Photos don't do it justice. In person it's this deep jewel-tone burgundy that shifts between wine and garnet depending on the light. I wore it to the races and could not stop getting compliments.

The pleats on this skirt are the real star. When you walk they swing and catch the light like liquid wine — every step feels cinematic. Wore it to a charity gala and felt genuinely elegant the entire night.

I opened the box and literally gasped. The satin sheen on this dress makes it look three times the price. The rigid branded box it ships in already felt like a gift to myself. When I put it on for my friend's wedding I couldn't stop touching the fabric — smooth, heavy enough to drape properly, and the burgundy is so deep and rich it almost glows. Wore this to Diwali and the burgundy with gold bangles and jhumkas was perfection. This color crosses over into South Asian festive dressing effortlessly.
