The color is very pale—if you are extremely pale like me, you might need a spray tan to make it pop, otherwise you risk looking a bit washed out. Once I added some bronzer, it was stunning. The construction is solid, no loose threads on the ruffles which is usually where these dresses fail.

Everyone warned me about the length, but seeing how this trains down the stairs, I wouldn't hem a single inch. It creates this dramatic sweeping effect every time you take a step. The lower back ruching is the real MVP here—it gives you a lifted, statuesque shape even when you're just standing still. I paired it with chunky gold cuffs and a sleek pony, and it honestly felt like wearing a custom designer gown rather than an affordable find. Just be careful on stone surfaces; the chiffon is delicate, but that "princess moment" is 100% worth having to pick up your hem occasionally.

If you have olive or tanned skin, you need this specific shade of yellow. It doesn't wash you out; it actually acts like a natural highlighter for your complexion. I wore this to a garden wedding and the back detail is the real showstopper—that gathered ruching at the tailbone literally sculpts your shape (it gives a "lift" effect I didn't know was possible with chiffon). I styled it with big gold statement earrings which brings out the warmth in the fabric beautifully. Felt expensive, looked expensive, but was so comfortable to wear all day in the sun.

Wore this for a beachside dinner and I felt like a movie star. I was worried about the train dragging on the sand, but the chiffon is surprisingly durable—it just glides over everything and creates such a mood for photos. The back view is the main reason to buy this; that low geometric cut combined with the tailbone ruching defines your curves in a way that feels structural, not just tight. It’s impossible to wear a bra with this low back, but the front lining is thick enough that I felt totally secure even without tape. If you’re packing for a destination trip, this is the one.

The zipper felt a little sticky over the ruched part at the back, probably because the fabric is gathered so thick there. Once it's up, it's fine and holds you in, but I definitely needed a friend to help me zip it up without catching the delicate fabric. Once on, it feels like a second skin.

Wore this to an outdoor wedding in the vineyard heat and I’ve never felt more ethereal. I was genuinely worried that direct sunlight would make this "butter" yellow completely see-through, but as you can see, the lining holds up perfectly—it catches the light without exposing anything. The back viewing is the main selling point; the ruching sits exactly where it needs to for a flattering lift, and the ruffled streamers create beautiful movement in photos. Note on length: It puddles on the floor even with heels (I love that romantic sweep look), but if you want it off the ground, you'll need a hem.

I’ve ordered from sites where the "yellow" arrives looking like neon highlighter. This is exactly as pictured—a soft, expensive-looking custard shade. My only gripe is that because it's chiffon, it arrives with stubborn fold lines. Do not iron this. A handheld steamer got the wrinkles out in literally two minutes.

Proof that you can wear pastels without looking like an Easter egg. The shade is a sophisticated, milky yellow that looks incredible in natural light (and doesn't turn neon in photos). I was worried the chiffon would feel flimsy, but it actually has a lovely weight to it—it skims the body rather than clinging, which is major for a light-colored dress. The duality of this dress is my favorite part: sleek and minimal from the front, but that backless ruffle situation is pure drama. Paired it with a gold clutch and sunnies and felt effortlessly cool all evening.

Honest review on the "sheerness" factor: I wore black underwear just to test it in bathroom lighting. You could vaguely see a shadow, but with nude seamless panties, it’s completely invisible. The lining stops at a good length so the flow at the bottom keeps that ethereal, see-through vibe without showing anything you don't want to.

The movement of this dress is the selling point. Those extra layers of fabric on the back aren't just decorative; when you’re on the dance floor, they spin out and look mesmerizing. It’s not just a standing-still dress. Got more compliments from strangers on this than on my actual designer pieces.

If you buy this, you need to know about the chest ruffles—they add volume. As a member of the itty bitty titty committee, this is brilliant. However, because the back is so low, you absolutely cannot wear a regular bra. I used basic nipple covers and fashion tape to keep the front V-neck secure, and it stayed put all night.

I was skeptical about "chiffon" at this price point since it usually feels like scratchy polyester, but this is surprisingly soft against the skin. It feels cool to the touch. I wore it for six hours in 90-degree heat and didn't feel suffocated or sweaty because the open back allows for so much airflow.

The dress is gorgeous on the hanger, but the torso cut is very long. I have a short waist, so the fabric pooled a bit awkwardly above the bum ruching instead of sitting flush against my lower back. If you have a longer torso, this will be a 10/10 for you, but for my proportions, it just didn't sit right. Quality is lovely though.

I bought this impulsively for a destination wedding and didn't even try it on until I got to the hotel. Panic moment that turned into relief—the fabric has zero stretch but the cut is forgiving around the hips. Those long flowy ribbon things on the back look incredible in wind but be careful closing car doors, I almost trapped one.

Was terrified this "butter" yellow would wash me out or look practically white in photos (a nightmare for a wedding guest), but the saturation is perfect. It’s a true, creamy pastel that reads distinctly yellow even in bright sunlight. The lining is solid enough that I didn't have to worry about my underwear showing, which is rare for light colors.

Just a heads up for the short girls: I’m 5’3” and even with my highest wedges, the hem was sweeping the floor. The fabric is delicate, so rather than risk tripping and ripping the chiffon, I paid to get it hemmed about two inches. Worth the extra cost because the drape is beautiful, but factor that timing in if you’re petite.
