I have been to probably fifteen formal events in the past two years and I am telling you no other dress in any room has come close to this. The combination of sculptural rosette shoulders with a fully pleated floor-length skirt is a design choice I have literally never seen replicated. Every other dress at the engagement party was a slip dress or a bodycon or a basic A-line. This exists in its own category. The criss-cross pattern is intuitive once you see it — the ties are long enough to pull around to the front while you thread them, then you reach behind to snug the bow. Took me maybe four minutes the first time. The adjustability is the entire reason the fit is so perfect. Having control over exactly how tight the bodice sits changed everything.
