I added a small stitch at the point of the V to bring it up about half an inch and that solved it completely. Beyond that, the fabric is incredibly forgiving and stretchy in the best way, and this shade of pale yellow is beautiful on fair, freckled skin. Really happy with the purchase.

The rosettes are positioned on top of the shoulder rather than around the armhole, which gives full range of motion underneath.
