I put this next to my $200 satin dress from a major brand and honestly couldn't tell which was more expensive by feel alone. The weight, the drape, the sheen — nearly identical. At half the price.

The slit does ride up a bit when you sit down, especially on a bar stool. Manageable if you just adjust with your hand but something to be aware of. Worth the drama though.

This burgundy shifts from dark cherry to wine depending on the lighting and it's mesmerizing in motion. Under warm light it's pure romance. Under flash it goes deep sangria. So photogenic.

I'm 36 and was worried this would read too young on me. It doesn't. The cut is classic, the burgundy is sophisticated, and the slit is elegant rather than clubby. Wore it to a faculty dinner and felt perfectly appropriate.
